Artlift has something special going on. We are launching two free 10-week programmes of online art sessions for anyone living with or beyond cancer. This is a great opportunity to get creative in a safe space, to make, draw and paint with others in a similar situation. No skill in art is needed – it’s just a chance to share experiences, make new friends and focus on something positive with people who care and understand.
So, if you have completed chemotherapy, radiography, or surgery in the last two years, please speak to your doctor for a referral [link to open new page: referrals form in Word] to guarantee your place. This is ideal for anyone shielding and feeling anxious as they come out of the COVID-19 lockdown.
Choose between two courses starting on either Monday 16 November (2-4pm) or Thursday 19 November (10.30am-12.30pm) – delivered as Zoom sessions by a trained artist once a week for 10 weeks.
In the words of a previous participant, ‘this has made me feel better physically and my sleep has improved.’
Huge thanks to Macmillan Cancer Support for making this possible.
For anyone living with mental health challenges and/or a long-term health condition, Artlift is a creative and safe space for them to recover because of the experience of the tutors, the relaxed atmosphere, and the small groups.
